Havana, Cuba - January 25 - 27, 2019

Our ship arrived in Havana on Friday morning. We joined a tour around the city. Sadly, it was windy and raining for much of the tour. But rain never stopped us before nor did it this time. We visited many historical places including Revolution Square. But that damn rain actually did keep me from making some images. Friday evening we went to a dance and music event at Teatro Martí. The dance troupe was Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba. It was aweome and full of energy. Saturday morning we went out on our own. Plan was to walk around for a couple of hours then come back for lunch and do a second short walk in the afternoon. But sometimes you just get carried away. I think we walked for nearly 4.5 hours. We were sucked into the city. It's beautiful. The people and places both are beautiful. We rested after that then enjoyed an early dinner before leaving for an evening stroll and short bus tour at night. On Sunday we went on another tour that started out as a walk and ended with a drive around to more historic places. Havana is a huge place. We simply scratched the surface. Upon departure the weather changed and we encountered some wind and rain early in the evening. Sadly, Havana experienced storms overnight including at least one tornado.
