Kangaroo Island - February 10

We sailed overnight and all day the next day to reach Kangaroo Island. We actually arrived early and anchored overnight just offshore from Penneshaw. The next day we took a tour to Cape Willoughby. If one looked closely, kangaroos could be seen lounging in the shade of roadside tree lines. They are not stupid and know to stay out of the hot sun. On the way back we stopped and did more wine tasting. Unfortunately, the tasting took place at a visitor center rather than at the winery. But, wine tasting is always a great way to end a tour no matter where it happens. The ship left at sunset and headed for Adelaide after a short detour to deeper waters that were more than 12 miles off shore. (probably to discharge some effluent) . . .
