Sydney - February 4 - 6

We exited our plane early Sunday morning into the morning heat and humidity of Sydney. We soaked up the morning light and stretched our legs at the airport before heading to the taxi stand and a ride to our hotel. Sydney is a beautiful place. It was hot. We stayed at the Marriott at Circular Quay. It was quite convenient to great places to eat, the Harbor Bridge and the Opera House both of which you see every time you hear about Sydney and other sights. We did a lot of walking under the hot sun. Found nice places for lunch. Traveled on one of the Hop-on-hop-off busses to help with an overview of the city. We went for evening strolls and enjoyed ice cream one night and gelato the other night. We also totally enjoyed the evening happenings around the harbor. There were lots of happy people everywhere we went. Our cruise ship greeted us at White Bay Cruise Terminal after a short taxi ride from the hotel. Our departure was under a cloudy. breezy, somewhat cool evening sky. The Sydney skyline is beautiful. Eventually, we made our way to the Pacific Ocean where we were greeted by a lot of wave action. Not so much white cap type action but long rolling swells that simply rocked the ship.
